After consulting with food security initiatives in our community, they aim to complement and supplement other local efforts\u2014filling the gaps by growing and donating nutritious, top-quality, and culturally appropriate crops for our recipients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.veggiestotable.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">veggiestotable.org<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>2027 nominations are open<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>One of the fun benefits of being a member-owner of the co-op is that you get to nominate and elect our Co-op for Community Day partners. Last year Rising Tide donated $7,945.04 to these partner organizations!<\/p>\n<p>Do you know a local non-profit that&#8217;s doing great work in our community?<\/p>\n<p>Nominations can only be made by Rising Tide member-owners, but you may nominate as many as you\u2019d like! If you are not sure about your ownership status, please contact <a href=\"mailto:outreach@risingtide.coop\">outreach@risingtide.coop<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible partners must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization, based in Maine, and make a measurable, direct impact on Lincoln County residents. Schools, religious organizations, and political groups are not eligible. Ideally, these organizations will be able to make the most of the opportunity to come into Rising Tide and present information and takeaways for the public to be educated and aware of their efforts within our community.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s partners are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastalrivers.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthykidsmaine.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Healthy Kids<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skidompha.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Skidompha Library<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/newcastlefoodpantry.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ecumenical Food Pantry<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/caringforkidsbristol.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caring For Kids<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.waldoborofoodpantry.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Waldoboro Food Pantry<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steppingstonehousing.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stepping Stone Housing<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veggiestotable.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Veggies To Table<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/giving.blessingsinabackpack.org\/organizations\/jefferson-village-school\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blessings In A Backpack &#8211; Jefferson Village School<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chipinc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CHIP (Community Housing Improvement Project)<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jeffersonareacommunityfoodpantry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jefferson Area Community Food Pantry<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Nominations can be made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/G9L7PGR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> or with a paper form in the store\u00a0through September 7. Voting will then take place during our Annual Election, starting September 11. More info will be coming soon.
