Every month, we donate .5% of our Wednesday sales to an organization nominated and voted on by our member-owners.
That organization is also invited to come into Rising Tide and present information and takeaways for the public to be educated and aware of this organization’s efforts within our community. We invite you to come in and shop on Wednesday to support these amazing communities and wonderful non-profit organizations.

Lincoln County Gleaners
The Lincoln County Gleaners’ mission is to support local farmers and reduce food waste while feeding our community.
They accomplish this task by gleaning.
So, what is gleaning?
Gleaning is the act of collecting leftover food from farmer’s fields after they have been commercially harvested. This surplus food is collected by volunteers and distributed into our community through “sharing tables”, preschools, YMCA, and other locations throughout Lincoln County.
Recognizing the need for increased access to fresh local produce in Lincoln County combined with the wish to reduce food waste, The Lincoln County Gleaners formed in 2017. The first year 5,894 pounds of beautiful produce was rescued and more recently we have tipped the scales with over 10,000 pounds in 2019. This food might otherwise have been tilled back into the earth or composted. Instead, it provided nutrition for our local families at no cost!
